As
a general rule; Corn, Soybeans, Tobacco, Wheat, Cotton, and Nursery
Plants on the eligible plant list. This can vary by state. Inquire on

Catastrophic (CAT) Protection Policies
* Your
entire Premium is government subsidized. The $100 fee covers
administrative costs incurred by the government providing this
protection. That's right, coverage that the government provides for one
flat fee per county, no matter how big the farm.
* Protects against adverse weather, fire, wildfire, disease, insects,
and failure of power/irrigation supply.
(All subject to
certain policy limitations)
* The first line of coverage for both container grown and field grown
plants.
* The Basic CAT policy coverage insures 55% of the value on any losses
greater than 50% of your plant inventory.
* In The event of total loss, a basic CAT policy covers 27 1/2 cents on
every dollar.
* Basic coverage for greater peace of mind. |

Buy-UP Policy for Comprehensive Coverage
* Offers optional
levels of coverage. 50%, 55%, 60%, 65%, 70%, and 75% at 100% of price.
* The Government subsidizes part of the premium, the producer pays the
excess for higher levels of coverage
* Offers Peak endorsements for extra coverage in months when more
inventory is grown.
